ACCOR Strides into Myanmar

Accor and LP Holdings had signed an agreement to develop three new properties in Myanmar it is learnt.

Accor and LP Holdings say they will open (2) hotels in Mandalay and (1) in Yangon.

The plan is to open Mercure Mandalay Hill Resort and Pullman Yangon Centrepoint this year and Mandalay Hill Resort MGallery by Sofitel in 2020.

Myanmar tourism arrivals are projected to grow in the next 10 years according to the World Travel and Tourism Council.

It is projected that Myanmar’s tourism industry will rank second out of 184 countries for long-term growth.

It was ranked 15th globally in 2016.
